About Me
Welcome to my page! I am a student teacher at Travis Early College High School, where I get to teach students chemistry! I was born and raised in Houston, Texas where I developed a love for my community and a desire to one day support those around me. This is quickly when I realized my passion for community and the desire to support high school level students through building that community as a teacher. I currently live in Austin, Texas where I attend The University of Texas. I study chemistry and am getting my certification in Science in grades 7-12.
My Career Objective
My intention in becoming a high school teacher is primarily to foster a comfortable environment for students where they feel safe and have a sense of ownership or pride in not only their school but also in their own education. My goal here is for students to build up their community and ultimately have a positive high school experience. As a teacher, I hope to create an enjoyable learning experience and allow students to develop learning skills and make friends and a community along the way.
